If you hear the exotic sounding words „Sri Lanka“, you see in your mind´s eye images of fabulously beautiful, empty beaches, tropical vegetation, colonial buildings contrasting with modern architecture, and friendly, helpful and hospitable people. Their great openness to new ideas is particularly striking. This was one of the main reasons why it was a good decision to establish an A&R production facility in Sri Lanka.
We decided on Yatiyantota, a provincial town of around 60,000 people just about 100 km from the capital, Colombo, surrounded by tropical forests and palm groves. The town is characterised by buildings from the colonial period, imposing statues of Buddha, simple houses mad of corrugated mental and colourfully painted arcades of shops. The strategically advantagewous position of the town guarantees very good transport connections with air and sea routes.
In our large, modern production facility we currently employ 300 men and women manufacturing products using the latest technologies in compliance with our strict A&R quality standards – from sample to series. The German management team on site coordinates the various departments of the company including materials, IT and logistics.
